When residential aged care is the right choice

Choosing residential care is one of the hardest decisions a family will make. It’s often right when:

  • The person needs more care than family or home services can safely provide
  • There are increasing falls or safety incidents at home
  • Cognitive decline (dementia) is making home life unsafe or distressing
  • The primary carer’s own health is being compromised
  • Multiple complex medical conditions need 24/7 clinical management

If you’re not sure, talk to us. We frequently support families through this decision and we never push for residential placement when home care will do.
